At first you have to smile. I mean there are cows on the wall and in a pasture. So while you may be about to eat one of those happy cows, at least you can think they were happy to provide your meal. As you may know by now I do have a penchant for a good burger and truffle fries. Zinburger gives me both and while the prices may be a bit high for what you are getting you will receive a high quality meal. Nothing less is expected from Sam Fox. In the same regards, you also receive the normally happy service from servers and staff.

I dislike that everything’s mostly al a carte. But then again this seems to be the direction I have noticed fox concepts moving towards. The burgers also add up if you decide to build your own. Maybe it’s a good thing as our waist lines keep growing, mine included. Do I really need the truffle fries every time? No I don’t. Not when I can get a multitude of amazingly rich and flavor peaked milkshakes instead. I’ll let you decide which one is your favorite but I’m partial to the Bananas Foster.

The burger is tasty and I’ll never complain if someone says “let’s go visit again”. But just down the street is another great burger place. So it makes it hard to decide. I also am partial to grilled burgers on an option flame of which these are not. With that said, I did enjoy my Samburger. It had applewood smoked bacon, american cheese, and 1000 island dressing. I also tried the Farm Salad which has become my go to salad when I am trying to be a bit healthier. It has quinoa, chickpeas, feta cheese, avocado, carrots, tomatoes and nice light champagne vinaigrette.

In summary, this is another solid concept from our Fox friends. Plus, being in the Biltmore Fashion Park doesn’t hurt. Order some take out and go watch a flick at the movies in the park during our nice weather spring and fall days. Sounds like a great idea doesn’t it?!?

Great Burgers! One of the Fox Restaurant Concepts, Zinburger is located on the south side of Biltmore Fashion Mall. It has a modern feel with clean décor and a nice outside patio. The huge windows are always open on beautiful days.

The signature “Zin Burger” is my personal favorite with the zinfandel caramelized onions and manchego cheese, it is a mouthwatering delight. Nothing disappoints on this menu. The Ahi tuna sandwich and veggie burger are lip smacking good. Be sure to check the back wall there is a daily special burger that might be just what your in the mood for.  If you having a hard time picking between the double truffle, sweet potato or zucchini fries all are good (I’ve ordered all three at one meal!)  The milkshakes are also heavenly; my personal favorite is the Banana’s Foster. The awesome food, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff will make you coming back for more and more!
